Hello, Day 1 on FatSecret! Let me introduce myself.
You can call me Ren. I've been obese for as long as I can remember and this January during my first year away at college I decided to join a program on campus devoted to promoting activity (and weight loss). When I started that program, I was 202 lbs, and at the end of it, 182 lbs. It was the first time I actually made any progress with losing weight. Now, during summer vacation, I'm trying to keep up the fight, and am currently 170 lbs, trying to reach a goal of being 160 lbs before I go back to school in mid-August. This will be a huge milestone for me, because at 160, my BMI will be in the overweight rather than the obese catagory. My ultimate goal is to be 125 lbs (right in the middle of the healthy BMI for my height) and to fit into size 8 jeans (currently I'm a comfortable 14). I hope here I can learn about the many of you travelling the same journey that I am, offer my support and gain some in return. Nice to meet you, and wish me luck! -Ren
