It has been 3 weeks since my comeback so time to do a progress report. I've lost 9 pounds in that 3 weeks. Not breaking any records but definitely worth the effort.

I'm loosely following Atkins 40, while strictly sticking to the 16:8 Intermittent Fasting protocol. My personal schedule: eat breakfast after 10 AM and finish dinner by 6 PM.

Got to thinking that even if the science behind this is all bunk (and I am not saying that it is), it is still a great program. It is helping me with self control as I can no longer just grab a snack anytime day or night. And that keeps me mindful to eat good meals during my eating window - because after 6 PM it will be too late. I am cut off until the next day.

wow 9 pounds in 3 weeks thats great, I am lucky if I lose a half pound a week, keep up the good work

9 lbs in 3 weeks is very good, give yourself a pat on the back. 16:8 has been good for me too, going back to doing it this week as I'd taken a break. Keep up the great work!

Fantastic!! Celebrate it!! Go with the body's need to either speed up or slow down as long as there is progress. (so I tell myself) The more I read about how the body actually does finally unlock fat cells with the assistance of nightly, sleep induced HGH releases, the more I see that "Eating Windows" that end LONG before we fall asleep are critical and extremely key in the body prepping itself to let some of the fatty acid go to be used for energy over night. It is not bunk....the bigger we are the more critical this seems to be to help control insulin. Good for you and spread the word!
