I just noticed something. Today is my one-year anniversary on FatSecret!

My earlier journal post said I had nothing to report, but this is a good time to reflect on the past year. Maybe that will inspire me to work extra hard to get to my final goal weight. I have only 20 pounds to go.

Even though I joined on 5/30/10 at 212 pounds, I didn't post anything in my journal until 6/23/10. I hadn't figured out how to use FS properly. And THAT first post was about how disappointed I was that my weight had stalled after a 7-pound loss. I was teetering on the edge of giving up.

Recording my meals every day and analyzing my behavior in this journal made a huge difference. And my supportive buddies too!

Today I'm at a plateau after a 55-pound loss, hovering around 156-158 pounds. I must be eating at maintenance, so I need to cut back. But like Mr Coco said, he's not gaining weight the way we have been eating lately, and he could eat like this all the time. So maintenance shouldn't be an issue. We just need to do smaller portions right now to effect a drop. And add a little more exercise, which still consists of walking only. We need to add strength training and more cardio.

This is the best I've felt in 25 years. My energy-level is great. I don't have brain fog. My knees don't feel stressed. I'm bitchy only a day or two a week instead of most of the time. I can't allow myself to go back to the way I was. Every time I feel tempted to binge, I MUST think about that.

Our daughter is coming home the middle of July and we're going to the beach. My goal is to be able to wear a bathing suit without feeling embarrassed. I might make it.

Coco... I kinda plateaued in maintenance... but lost more after doing 2 miles per day on the treadmill... at 4-5 mph... that's my cardio! Good luck!
