Hello, everyone! This is kind of long, so you might have to click on it to see the whole journal. Things are about the same with me, living, loving, and learning. <== I thought I coined an awesome phrase just now, but I googled it and it's the title of a book by Leo Buscaglia. I saw him on educational TV I think or maybe it was youtube.
When I wrote on my journal a few months ago that I would stop weighing myself every day, a friend of mine sent me a PM and said weighing every day will keep me from getting out of control. I agree, but I won't be weighing in here at FatSecret except once a week, on Wednesdays. At home I weigh myself every day and write it on the calendar. It keeps me vigilant. I enjoy weighing, even when I was morbidly obese. Seeing the numbers drop was fun. Now seeing the numbers stay the same is fun. :)
mrsmole taught us how to weekly average our weight: Add your daily weights for a week and divide by 7 to get your average weight. That sounds good to me, so I will be doing that. It's a good thing for people who fluctuate a lot. I don't think I fluctuate a lot, but I still want to do it. As long as I have a calculator, it will be easy. ;)
Gosh, I miss some of the people who used to come to FatSecret last year and dropped out. I know people have problems and don't have time to come here and check in, but I am going to think positive and wish you all well. I know I'm repeating myself, but I love saying it: Happy New Year! Thanks Deb, I am one of those that can have big weight swings so doing daily weight checks could help me stay in control. Your advice always helps me and I appreciate your energy.

Hi Deb, It has been a while since I have commented but want you to know I still read all the comments. I am pushing myself to get back on my weight loss track. After my daughter's wedding in october I have kind of lost myself again. UGHHH. I gained 4 lbs, not so bad, then the holidays and another 6 lbs. I am very mad at myself but am working hard on getting my mindset to be what it was the last 2 years.
I have started journalling again. yeah. I could use some encouragement from anyone reading this.
I AM REFUSING TO GAIN THIS WEIGHT BACK. I HAVE COME TOO FAR….
I started walking 4 days ago. That's has been a hugh help and has made me feel so much better so quickly. I wore myself down from the wedding thru the holidays and we lost a family member between thanksgiving and christmas. There has been a lot going on in my household physically and emotionally. This is a new year and I am treating it as such. I am struggling not to pick up the extra candies, etc still lingering at my house. Last year, I didn't allow it at all around me for so long a period of time. I need help with this. My husband wants the goodies around for when he wants a sweet but he is not addicted to sugar like I am. He has had a piece of carrot cake sitting in our fridge for 3 days now just staring at me…… get it? Well enough belly-aching. I need to deal with it like I have before and be much more disciplined than I am.
I am happy you are progressing so well, all of your words are encouragement to me.

Deb, I do the average weight thing as well, especially works on maintenance, I don't stress over it but it will catch an upward trend quickly. CCerza, welcome back! Sorry about the stresses in your life, wishing you a more stress free 2015 and a successful renewal of your journey.

Good journal - I think I too need to return to the daily weigh in too while I'm at it w/the food recording, etc. I think doing all of these components will help me get back on track.

Your journals really mirror a life that filled with 'living, loving, learning! It's nice to have positive input. I often think of your avatar when I'm feeling the pinch in live 'Stay Positive'. It helps.

I enjoyed that you posted what Dom taught you about wkly avg's on weight that I stopped reading your entry & avereged mine for Dec. Jeri is correct LOL it will catch an upward trend quickly. But as she also said,I dont stress over it.My reason? I know it can also hit the downward trend just as quickly :D It's nice to be able to remove some struggles from weight maintanence.....knowledge helps us to do that :D And I find that the more struggles are removed,the more I enjoy my Transformation Journey! :) My favorite "weapon" that Ive added to my "battle gear" from 2014------20 Days Is All It Takes To Be Transformed! (Weild this weapon regularly-for like silver that goes untouched, it will lose it's shine )

Hey deb at the moment i mostly float around FS reading journals as i'm busy adjusting to my new life overseas. Love the weight averaging tip deb and mrs mole mine fluctuates a lot!
