I'm a little bit late with the journal entry, but this past Monday I weighed in at under 200 lbs for the first time since I can remember! It's honestly been since early high school that I've weighed less than this. It was a tough goal, but I also managed to break 200 just before the end of the year.

In just over five months, I've gone from 249 to 199 lbs. My pants have gone from size 42 to 36, and my wedding ring is so loose that it'll slip off on its own if I'm not careful (especially while washing my hands). While I'm not quite at the end of this journey yet, this is by far the biggest milestone I've passed so far. I already feel so much better, in terms of both energy level and self-image, than I did when I started back in July.

I want to sincerely thank everyone for your support, It's been great knowing that I have so many people rooting for me to get healthy. With the new year here, there are probably a lot of new people jumping on board and setting a goal to lose weight. I want you to know that you can do it. The road's not always easy, and you will be discouraged at times, but don't let the bad days keep you down. The good ones are definitely worth the effort.
