So there you have it, Week 12. I have visible collar bones, my ankles have not swelled in 10 weeks and prior to this they were so swollen all the time that I could not tell where my calf ended and my foot started, it was very painful too. My aches and pains are gone, my hair and nails are shiny and growing. My skin is moist and glowing. The lines around my eyes are fading, getting shallower. I have taken to wearing a panty girdle because everything on my tummy is loose and jiggley. Taking a bubble bath tonight I noticed that there was more bubbles and less me in the water. It's awesome to realize that there is almost 40 inches less of me taking up space in the bathtub! My blood pressure is 127/72, way down from the 145/90 I had 12 weeks ago. I have not had any bloodwork done as of yet, but I am looking forward to my next Dr. visit which is scheduled for February. On the hormonal front. I have not had ANY hot flashes since I went to Florida, the night sweats are gone too.....don't know how much of that has to do with the onset of cold weather. My mood is good, the Happy Light is really making a difference and the vitamin D3, K, and Iodide supplement I started taking two weeks ago seem to be keeping the wintertime blues at bay. I'm still smiling when I go to sleep at night. :) So at the 12 week mark I have determined that my experiment is a success and I will continue with my WOE unchanged for the time being. I feel good, strong, energized, clear headed. I feel full when I eat, I don't crave snacks, I feel like moving around, I even get restless sometimes and have to just go outside and take a walk because the house starts to feel confining. I sleep well and wake up refreshed. Combining LCHF and Intermittent Fasting suits my lifestyle and way of eating and apparently it is compatible with my body. You guys are great and I appreciate your support and encouragement!
