Turns out this wasn’t the best meal to have before a trail run. Sat a bit heavy in the gut and gave me a spot of nausea. Will have to try something else next week.

many moons ago when i was prepping for triathlons i experienced the same nausea, eating a boiled egg before exercise helped me. just for fyi if you want to try it.

@ChubbyHubbyMe you’re right, a boiled egg is a good option. I’d forgotten about that. I used to have them as a pre-run meal. I’m trying out more plant based options, though. Might have to do the boiled egg again if I don’t find the right fuel.
