Debbie, congratulations on getting moving. Some advice from an old duffer: increase your exercise gradually, get your heart rate up to 120 eventually, don't give up. Eleven years ago at age 50 I was a physical wreck. I started exercising regularly, getting my heart rate up to 120 or more for a half hour several times a week. Now at age 61 I have more energy than I had at age 40! So don't give up but don't get hurt. Work up gradually! The aches and pains will go away eventually and you'll feel amazing!

I am there with ya girl! Even my fingers and toes are sore! We can do this. We won't let the soreness beat us, right!

Debbie, I was quite a big guy and started Spinning (biking)and lost weight fast and strengthened my knees doing it . This helped me move into a variety of additional exercises like running. Start low impact, Spinning, eliptical and even swimming. Don't be embarrased, people will look at you and admire your progress!!!
