Toning seems to be the word of the week! I understand how you feel about how people saying it's an obsession. That's part of the reason why I took such a long break from this website. I felt being here made my life focus around "losing weight," "maintaining weight," "exercising." It's all a vicious circle, we try so hard to get to where we want to be, but then we realize that's all we are. I wanted to get back to living my life. Did I pay dearly for it? Not really. I gained SOME weight back, but I realize that I lost more muscle tone than anything. If you realize why you're doing it, and it's not unhealthy mentally for you, then do it. Only you know what's right for you. You can't allow other people's opinions and statements become more valid than your own. You've worked so hard, and no one can tell you that it hasn't worked for you :)
