She was my buddy also, but two weeks ago I noticed she removed me. I thought she might have gone on vacation or maybe she wanted to stop getting notifications from others. Hope she is doing well. :) 

Strange! So then I know it's not something I said. And now, you can rest assured that it's not something you said. Probable that she unbuddied everyone across the board. Oh Well! I'll have to lose the weight without her as a buddy. :O)  

When commenting on other people's journals, she was friendly and very positive. Maybe she will come back.  

Thus my surprise and bewilderment at her actions.  

I have noticed that her journals are missing and went to investigate only to notice that she has removed me from her buddy list and made her journal and food log private. I have sent her a private message but I already knew that for now she has given up. I remember she was encouraging you Monique not to give up but then a few days later, she did. Maybe she will be back but we won't know because we're not buddies anymore. 

my belief is that she had a personal crisis, to act in such a way. Well, whatever, we can only offer good vibes...  

Sometimes weird things happen to the settings. I had some buddies PM me a few times that it seemed I was in stealth mode - my journals weren't filtering where they could see them. Another time it was as you wrote above.. everything hidden. It's like FS hijinks. Did you PM her? 

It's like.. I tried to filter my own settings the other day for 'buddies only' and I still get comments from people who aren't on my list. I think the system may need a reboot now and then to get all of the changes in effect.  

Yes I did pm her. So did Deb. So, your take is that it might be a glitch in the FS application? I guess anything is possible. I hadn't considered that. That would be a shame for her. We are a great support group.  

I noticed that too Bella but it seems that even if the original post is from Stranger Bob if one of your buddy list comments you get it. 

It is not a glitch. That would mean that fat secret would defriend all of her buddies, make her journal private and that it would prevent her from replaying to our private messages. I have encouraged her in the past not to give up because she was struggling. It happens, people fall of the wagon. I have quit on my diet so many times in the past I can't hold that against her.  

I understand falling off the wagon, but unbuddying everyone.. and not responding to pms, that's uncalled for. If it was a personal crisis, I would understand her need for privacy. that's the way I feel about it.  

Did you search for that user? She may have left completely. 

yes I have. She did not show up. But her profile is still up. Maybe she did close her account, and they just keep the profile as a 'private'. I find it somewhat distasteful. You're buddy buddy one minute, encouraging, interacting, and the next minute you're gone without a word. There is a sincerity to my interactions. I say what I mean, and mean what I say.

I don't think she knows that she has private messages. When someone sends me a private message, I have to log into FatSecret and see a notification that I have 3 messages. I have never received an email that I have a private message. So she probably does not know that we sent her a private message. 

Deb you can see if you have a private message in the right corner on top of the page next to "hello Deb". Internet friendships can end as easily as people became friends or diet buddies. Monique as long as I have an internet connection I'll stay here on fat secret :-) 

snezica, yes, I can see that I have private messages at the top. I was just trying to say that unless Teacher Try comes back here, she would not know that we sent her a private message. I think FatSecret should email us when we have a private message. That way we would be reminded to come back.
