Despite a very low calorie intake yesterday, I have gained weight. My body is betraying me!

Two items that I didn't declare on my food intake were a spoonful of chia seeds, and a quarter of a small pomegranate, both of which were within my carb allowance. They are supposed to be giving me extra nutrients, not stopping me losing weight. I wish we could add items ourselves to the food intake selection. or half portions. I don't eat 100 grams of everything, and don't eat any premade food at all.

If anyone has personal knowledge of the use of chia seeds please tell me about your experience? Perhaps they are lurking in the gut holding lots of water?

I just looked and 15g or a spoon is on list.

You can change the amount of grams you record so it doesn't all have to say 100g

Thank you both. Now I need to find how to change the 100 grams. That will help a lot.

You can change the number of grams. 1) click on the item/food in your journal 2) the details screen of the food will display where you can edit the number of grams. Hope this helps.

Thanks that is such a boon! I should have worked that out! I am still not sure why I am on a plateau when I am eating so little. I am eating mostly protein and then veggies like spinach today and some of an avocado that needs eating. I just want to see the weight going down. I have left off the chia seeds today.

I have just had a look at your diet calendar is that right this month that you have had 300-500 calories per day are you sure that is everything? Because it's very little and is massively surprising you are not shedding weight. I guess you are having snag using the App on a mobile - it's not so intuitive as on a PC - Here is an example for you once you have an ingredient on the screen - to change the unit of say a tomato from medium whole to say 60 grams press your finger on the medium whole rectangle and then a new dropdown menu appears. You can use your finger to slide up and down this menu grams is at the bottom. Click on it then you have changed the units from whole tomatoes to grams. Then in the +/- box above you can type in 60 then save it. If you have scales it's then easy to transfer the weight you have onto the FS diet calendar. i hope that helps?

Thankyou Adpully. I have got it sussed now. I weigh everything I eat so it is very precise. I use my laptop, not my phone!! I am shedding weight again now also by the way. Only a couple of kilos to go I think to get fit for this operation in January. I am then going to get panicky about putting weight back on, that will be another voyage of discovery as I increase the calories and carbs gently back.
