Rice is not bad, but you need to eat in small quantities with lots of vegetables. I my weight lost program I eat all food but in the right proportion pending the carlories it contains. with that I don't crave for food.

You can eat whatever you want actually, what is most important is that you practice portion control, and you make sure to weigh your food, and count your calorie intact always.

IMHO, I think it's OK to eat whatever you like to avoid having cravings. But since our typical rice isn't enriched (hence the tag "empty carbs"), it may be best to eat it with lots of veggies ...and maybe eat it less often than other better enriched carbs.

It depends on how fast you want your result. If you want a very fast weight loss, keto may be the best (that way, you avoid rice and other carbs altogether, while getting your little carbs from vegetables). But in Nigeria where we don't have a lot of food options, I don't recommend skipping rice. Instead, like everyone else said, practicing portion control is key

I ate rice almost everyday and lost 38kg in less than 7 months.. I ate every food group especially RICE, PASTA, NOODLES, BREAD,EBA. main thing is that I cut out my oil to almost zero, and ate a lot of vegetables too.
rice and all natural carbohydrate sources such as yam, potatoes etc are amazing for weightloss and a healthy life, provided you reduce your oil you will lose weight.

No, Rice is totally fine. Add vegetables and protein to give you a better fill. There's no "bad" food during weight loss. The most important thing is counting your calories.
