I've made a resolution to love my body. I'm showing it love by exercising and eating right. I'm also just going to be happy with how it is now. Over time by doing the right stuff the weight will come off.
The thing is my daughter who's 6 years old asked me if she looked fat in this sweater she was wearing. It broke my heart. Obviously she hears me ask my husband that all the time. I don't want to push her into having any body issues. So I've been making small changes like we're eating veggies because they make our body healthy and keep us from getting sick. I still let the kids have dessert because I don't want then to think food is a bad thing. I'll just teach them moderation.

OMG - good for BOTH of you. Yes, all of us need to love the body we have now and take care of it. And I have spent my life (so far) hating my body because of being told how fat I was at like.. age 9? and always trying to look like cover models who continue to get younger and thinner with each publication. Madness.

That's so sad FullaBella. I would never call my daughter fat, but her hearing me talk bad about my body isn't any better.

You are developing a wonderful attitude. Even though you will very likely lose weight, if you never lose another pound, you will still be much healthier as a result of exercising and eating right.

Yes it's hard. When my daughter was in first grade, some girls in her class told her she was fat. She wasn't fat at all. It's unreal how early it starts. I'm trying to teach her about healthy eating and exercise.
