A full week of in-laws visiting. I really tried to follow everything, but I couldn't. The demon line returns.

She cooks very specialized ethnic food, and while it's delicious, there's been no way to track what I've eaten. Her mom has cooked at random, every meal has been a massive banquet, and there's been some kind of high-impact dessert with each. Cassava cake is awesome. Biko is delicious. Philippine Adobo is confusing and wonderful and full of garlic. But now I need to really work harder than ever before. I swear by all that's holy I *will* fit those 34" jeans by the Europe vacation. And 32s within a year after that.

On the plus side along those lines, my waist does seem smaller, and I need a belt to hold up the 38" pants that, last march, I had to lie on the bed to button.

Still, seeing an actual gain is heartbreaking.

When you are in those situations, the best thing you can do is concentrate on portion control and getting whatever activity in each day as you can. Activity on vacation can negate a lot of what we eat on vacation if you are active. At least you can get back to normal now.
