Hi Kris, I'm sorry for the frustration you're going through right now. I understand how upsetting holidays can be for people who've had bad experiences relating to them. I believe that NOTHING is silly or unimportant if it makes you feel stressed or worried. People are often too judgmental about others' problems, but they think theirs are completely valid & justified. If someone has ta thorn in their shoe that is probably just as painful & frustrating to them as another person who has been thrown into the middle of a cactus patch, though the person in the cactus patch probably wouldn't agree. As I'm falling asleep at night, I tend to suddenly start thinking about a problem, & soon I'm blowing it all out of proportion, & getting stressed out & worried about it. Then I can't fall asleep & have to get up & do something pleasant & relaxing til I'm ready to go back to bed. AS to binging on fruit, at least it has some vitamins & good nutrients in it, so I guess it's still better than binging on things like chips & candy. I'm sure it's just as frustrating though, if it keeps you from losing weight. Maybe if you start recording everything you eat as many others here on FS are doing, it would help you to control your binging. I know this works for me, if I have to write it down, & I know I've already eaten enough (or more)to last til my next meal, I'm much more likely to put a snack back & not eat it.
