Today was my first day back at the gym after taking last week off. That was the 11th week in the THT cycle, which is a rest week. I really needed the rest both physically and mentally. It worked because I was really chomping at the bit to get back to the gym today.
Started this cycle of TSPA with the workout from the new version, which has some changes and it was fun! Today was shoulder and traps. There were a couple of new exercises, and modified form on dumbbell lateral raises. Those were awesome! I'm already sore. I was pleased that my lifts hadn't suffered, I picked up right where I left off and the new optimized form on lateral raises had me hit new highs. I tried a set with 25s and got 5 reps. When I went back to 17.5 lbs. on the second set, I did 15 reps!
Looking forward to the extra calorie burn from the workouts to make this a banner week on body fat % too.

Cool - what is your cycle? What does THT and TSPA mean? Sounds like it is working well for you.

Sorry, I try not to sound too much like a commercial, but I'm a huge fan of musclehack.com. Mark has tons of free advice, weightlifting info, and meal and diet ideas. TSPA is Total Six Pack Abs program, one of the few things you have to buy. I like it because it is scientific, no nonsense, and I can eat. It's not one of these crazy 1,200 carbs starve yourself programs. And THT is Target Hypertrophy Training, which is a fancy way to say "increase muscle size." That book he gives away for free, and in my opinion, it is THE resource for the correct way to workout.

I meant "1,200 calories" not "carbs." :-)
