We broke another record today . . . 72F. A thunder storm tonight brought the temp down to 39. It's supposed to go down to the low 20s tonight and possible snow tomorrow, Thurs., Fri. and Sat. with equally low temps. I really enjoyed our taste of spring. I can't wait for it to really get here.

Thanks Stef. Me too. I'm supposed to head your direction for an event next weekend. It will depend a lot on the weather and the condition of my car.

It's one of my medieval events. It's called Chieftains. I would be going to St. Louis Friday evening after my friends get off work and be there until Sunday morning. If I'm lucky, the weathermen are WRONG. LOL!

Johanne, that does sound like fun! I ahve a friend who goes to a lot of those kinds of events also, wonder if she is attending. Have a great time! Although the weather is supposed to get colder, for St. Louis they aren't calling for anything too extreme.

Steph, is she in the SCA. Does she have an SCA name? She might very well be there. My car is going into the shop tomorrow to see why the service engine light is on. I have no cash, so it will depend on repair costs. If it's not too much, my son will pay it. If it is, I'll park it. :-( The weather there would be more important than the weather here. You wan to come? It's a lot of fun. Hugs.

Bren, I do too. This is one of our big annual events and it's usually a lot of fun. I can't do feast any more because of the gluten problem and I miss it, but that's not the major part of the day. XOXO

Johanne, my check engine light has been going on and off for almost a year now. It isn't a "hard code" and so is no big deal. They suspect an air intake valve. I am not sure about my friend being a member...I will find out and see if she has an SCA name!

Steph, that's what I'm hoping. I just need to make sure that's all it is before I get stranded somewhere between here and there. LOL. As for your friend, one of the friends I'm coming with is Wiccan, but that's a religion. The SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) is a worldwide organization that recreates the middle ages. They forbid us to PLAY at any religion, because that is a very serious thing, even though religions of all kinds were practiced during the middle ages. All of us have different religions in real life, but those are totally separate from the game. Most of us are very accepting of all religions, beliefs, cultures, etc. because we all love and respect each other. How can you not accept a good friend, no matter what their beliefs. (That being said, I don't know any Satanists and would not be accepting of that.) OK, now I'm off my soap box. I would love to know if your friend is in the SCA.

Pixi, we are back in the freezing temps now. We just had a few special days. I have my huge pot of chili outside right now to cool it down before I put it in containers for the freezer. I don't envy you your climate. I do envy you the beauty of the landscape you live in. Hugs!!!
