So I gained about 5 lbs in 8-10 days. I started drinking ice coffee again (every day, sometimes twice) & I like it light, very light. I am back to once a week on Sat. I have no self control! I must find it again!

Are you implying that you gained that weight JUST from drinking coffee, even with milk or cream? I can't see how you would EVER get over 17K calories in 10 days from just two cups of coffee a day. Blaming it on iced coffee sounds like the easy way out instead of looking for the real culprit(s).

I've been doing a diet where I just have slimming milkshakes 3 times a day and I've put on a pound in a week

My two cups of coffee is like a half pot each. If I drink it with half & half that is 500-650 for one of my cups (about 40oz). Twice a day is 1000-1300. That is pretty close to 5 lbs... & if you look at my weight calenadar it was 4.6 pounds to be exact. It was the coffee, and maybe some water weight since it went down today.

Oh no GK! I try to do the milk shake thing only once a day, (when I am being good). Maybe your body wants some more food & calories? That is a quandry

Once you return your coffee to the treat catagorie the temporary weight will slide right off. Just use it as another valuable learning tool. Self control doesn't always have to be "no I can't have this or that." it's about giving yourself the choice and knowing the consquences of it. Just saying.
