Yes Im a newbie...looking for some motivation and support. Im a 34 yo wife and mother of 2 (daughter 9 and son 7). Ive struggled with my weight all my life. On Jan 2nd 2007 I started the South Beach Diet, along with an exercise program. I walk for 30 min at lunch break each day, and do 30 min of exercise at night....either 30 min on eliptical or a "Firm" workout tape (which I HIGHLY reccomend to firm up your backside...they DEFINITELY do the job !). Since I had quite a bit of weight to loose I chose to stay on Phase I longer than 2 weeks and still havent totally moved into Phase II. I have succedded in losing 31 pounds so far !!!! Ive been thrilled with the results and have motivated several co-workers to give it a go...we walk together and share successes and troubles. I feel so much better already and cant wait to get closer to my goal weight ! I look forward to exploring the site and getting some good tips.
