Today I decided I was going to break out of my normal Sunday routine (Brennan is with his dad this weekend) of not sleeping in and so I got up and I did some "walking away the pounds" for a half hour. I bought these DVDs so long ago and have never used them. I thought since I'm home alone today I would see what Leslie Sansone was all about. I started with the basic walking which was the 1 mile walk and I tell you what... I sweat like a hog! And you know what? I feel great?!?! I'm going to do it again later this afternoon! I think if I can drag my sorry butt out of bed before 8am on a Sunday then I can get up earlier than the norm during my work week and walk before I get ready for my day.

My baby sister (ok she's like 26 but still...) is getting married May 9 of this year and she asked me to stand up with her. My initial reaction was HELL NO find someone skinny but then with a change of heart and attitude I feel it is my duty to my sister to be there for her on her big day (run on sentence much?).

How selfish am I for not trying harder to get healthier for my son too? Ok I know I have to do this for myself and part of me is but my number one motivation is my boy. He is such a momma's boy that I dread to think how lost he would be if I wasn't here for him.

So now I must continue moving and keep the momentum going. I have some housework that I have been putting off but today is the day it's going to get done!
