One full week of calorie deficits. Yay! I feel a little bummed though that today I overshot my RDI. I think I had a 5 day streak going. Oh well, just have to keep tracking and getting more exercise. I wish I knew better whether or not some of the time I spend in the kitchen usually counts towards activity for the diet calendar. I love cooking, and it is worthwhile for my family, but seriously I need to get it together because it starts to suck after a while when it seems to take hours to get food ready and than everyone is gathered together for twenty minutes max. Last night I spent about four hours making chicken pot pies. That was nice because that covered dinner for that night, plus we now have some homemade 'convenience food'. (I made 4 bigger pies and 5 smaller ones, three of the big ones though were dinner.) After that I worked on getting a crock pot meal going for lunch today- ~2-1/2 hours. Then this morning when I was checking on the crockpot I realized that it hadn't turned out the way I had anticipated, so I spent another 2 or so hours trying to recover and improve on the results. Thankfully I think dinner didn't take that long to cook- ~ 1-1/2-2 hrs I think. Having a set plan beforehand REALLY helps me to organize. I just need to do a lot more organizing and planning because I don't want to spend half of my waking hours simply working in the kitchen or doing laundry.
