Had a pretty good week 1 for the challenge. Not perfect, but pretty good. I've settled into the fact that I'm really doing a fairly strict version of phase 2 (not phase 1 like I'd planned), but it's more manageable for me right now. It was the first week of our new semester, which meant I am still getting a hang of my schedule. So, I didn't get to the gym as often as I'd hoped, but I was able to walk to/from work most days so even when I didn't get the gym workout in I was still able to log 40 minutes of walking, which is good. I'm looking forward to my workout this afternoon.
Right now it's a cold, rainy Saturday and I'm hanging out with the girls watching them play together. It's sweet when they play together well, just using their imaginations. Right now they are "swimming" in the hallway with their stuffed animals-- pretty oblivious to my presence. It's great. :) Of course, it's not always this mellow. Yesterday, for example, my 4 yr old was in tears because, she reported, "an invisible bear" bit her while she was on the couch. What do you do with that? I gave her a kiss, recommended that she tell those invisible bears to stay off the couch, and then she seemed better.
