So ok, I'm losing weight and losing weight.... at what point do I actually start to feel skinny?

I've been wondering the same thing. I am so close to my goal but I feel like it's going to need some adjusting once I'm there!

It's different for everyone. But it can take up to a year or more for most people to actually start seeing themselves in a their new bodies.

A whole year? I guess I can wait. I lose weight very slowly which I have accepted, I just want to look baller. Lol. SkinnyCity, I'm sort of close to my goal as well, but I have a feeling that once I get to it I'm just going to want to lose more.

Yeah for sure...my goal weight is 135 but if i make it to 131 I'd have lost 40 pounds!!! So I'm kind of aiming for that now. It's been a long journey and I only started in April, so I should be able to make it there within my one year anniversary!

Oh my gosh, congratulations on losing so much weight. It seems like we have similar time lines and weight goals as well as eating habits so that's pretty cool. Do you exercise? I don't really, but I'm thinking once I get to/close to my goal I'll start toning or whatever as well. Why don't I start now? Because...

Thank you and congrats to you too! Yeah I exercised a lot in the summer and recently joined a gym (I haven't gone in a week! I plan to go later today though). I try to eat super healthy, but definitely drink way too much wine. That's something I'm going to work on going forward. I also find when I have spike days like yesterday it actually makes me drop weight, which is weird. Today I weighed in at my goal but I was four pounds heavier yesterday, so it make no sense! However, I'm going to not weigh myself until weigh in day (friday) and see what it says then. Still, that was an amazing feeling!!!

I think I know why that happens, as I have similar spike days with weight drops. With Wine (I'm no stranger to wine ;) ) I think it possibly works as a diuretic, flushing all of the water out of your system so it seems like you have lost weight the next day, but then once you hydrate again it appears as though you gained when really you've stayed static the whole time. Because of this I just don't bother weighing myself the day after I drink. I agree, the feeling is amazing, watching those numbers drop ^_^
