This is a steady pace. Dunno if I can keep it up (especially in December with work lunches and other temptations to pile on the calories), but each pound lower is a step towards the goal. I'm feeling very positive.

It's hard to refuse the work lunches, because everyone is really pressing the food on you. Just remember how impressed they will be with the new slim you.

When in those situations, you just have to make the best choices from the options available. I try to go slow when making my choices and think about how much work it will take to make up for a 30 minute lunch or dinner that I probably won't enjoy all that much and certainly won't remember in a few days.

Thanks to both of you. I've got no choice in one case (I'm the department head), but every weigh-in in the past couple of weeks has been positive, so I'm feeling very happy as December progresses and I keep my calorie intake down.
