This week has been a superly busy week and I have not been able to do as much as I would like to have done but I have still lost weight and now I am realizing that I did end up okay. I had a Fire Department event with Santa time as well as our annual christmas party. Well...I ate but I worked cooking all day and although the workouts may not have been conventional "workouts" I was lifting heavy cooking dishes and 18 lb turkeys and running around like a chicken with its head cut off. I was a coordinating cook for the christmas party and prepared food for 50 people. It was a blast and I had a wonderful time plus I baked cookies for that party as well as the visit with Santa. It was a great event where we collected toys for our local distribution center. I felt privileged to be a part of the event. I also will be working out the arms next weekend delivering christmas food baskets for the community that cannot go to pick up their own. I feel honored that I am able to do this for the people and be a part of the organizations that can do so much. I cant believe I have now lost 23 pounds and that I am still more than a week away from christmas. I only had expected 20 by christmas. Now I have received good news from my employer. I will be given a membership to our local YMCA as part of my raise package for 2009. and the best part is that the Y is on my way home or to work.
Well off to another week at what feels like the races. I have to finish holiday shopping and baking then off to delivery on Friday and just busy but happy especially with the clothes getting looser everyday. I am having a hard time believing that I am almost a quarter of the way to my goal. WOW!!!!
