One more time... last time...

Okay. Here goes.

I have tried this several times. I have the website set up. I have the app on my phone. I know what I am doing, when it comes to weight loss. I am essentially ready to go. Problem is MOTIVATION. I know I am severely overweight, I know I want to get healthier, I know my doctor tells me I will end up being diabetic in a near future. Then why can I just not find the motivation to do this? What will it take? I don't want to wait for my first heart attack or something to be my wake-up call.

Even if I am essentially a happy guy, I know there is room for improvement. I know I would have a better life, if I lost weight. I know my back and neck would hurt less, and I know I could probably drastically improve my life quality. Less huffing and puffing. Fewers pains. More self respect. More happines. Probably a better sex life too.

Because of all these thought, I have decided that I MUST DO THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL.

So today I will do a pledge. I will dedicate. Take it one step at a time, and keep taking steps, motivation or no motivation. It may be a chore now and then, instead of a pleasant mission, but this is something I HAVE TO DO!

So my pledge is this:

I promise myself, and announce to the world, that IN ONE YEAR, OCTOBER 1st 2011, I will have reached my goal of weighing 110 kgs. I will lose the 45 kgs that I need to reach this goal. I will do this in a reasonable and healthy manner, making it a goad to lost two pounds (1 kg) per week.

I will do this, initially by changing my eating habits a little at a time, and later - when I can better physically carry it - by exercising.

I will weigh in every day (as much as possible), understanding that my weight will fluxuate a little, but instead of being frustrated with this, I will keep my focus on the higher goal and see that I am in the long run consistently losing weight.

I will limit my sugar intakes, but enjoy the food that I do consume. I will learn to cook new meals that fits with a new life style. I will drink more water. I will be healthy.

I could keep writing, but I will stop.

I can and will do this. :)
