Oh man, my shins do not like me.
Took advantage of labor day by going to take a walk at this great canal near me. Last time I went there I did the 4 miles of this trail but could barely walk the next day. I figured, new shoes, a little lighter I'd be fine.
Apparently not, did my recent thing of trying to throw a few seconds of slow jogging in to up my endurance and ouch. My right shin didn't like that. I just walked but I'm home now and both shins are sore to the touch. I'm okay, I can walk but jogging is out for a while.
Made dinner tonight early since I was ravenous and now I'm sooo sleepy. At some point I have to study/read for class tomorrow. I so don't feel up to it right now. Going to throw a netflix movie on and just chill. I don't do that much these days (hell even this morning I initially woke up at 7:30 and my alarm wasn't even set) but I am tired.
Happy Labor Day to my US buddies (and happy Drunk American day to the rest of the world I guess). I can't believe the summer's pretty much over. :( On the upside, I'm 25 lbs lighter than I was at the start of it.
I was surprised I didn't see a 2 lb gain in water from all the wine I had yesterday. Went to a winefest and I did tastings but no clue how many. I guessed I had four glasses which was probably an overstatement but guessing works better that way.
Affirmations for today: 1) I'm growing stronger every day
2) I can listen to what my body needs and respond.
