I was walking the dogs this morning and I ran into a neighbor who we see / talk to a few times a week. She is older, but very active. Jogs every day, volunteers, etc. She is so stressed with her sick husband that she doesn't eat, and has dropped to under 100 lbs. When I was 20 somthing lbs down, Lorainne was the first one to notice. And every time I see her, she compliments, usually in the lines of "could you give it to me". So today, she says; 1. "Your husband tells me you've lost one of me." I'm like, "what?" Yes, Mattio told her that I've lost 100 lbs. Now you kind of can't blame him because I never talk numbers with him, but seriously?? Then 2. "I didn't realize you were this beautiful" ....um, backhanded compliment or what? However, Matt redeemed himself because she told me his reply was, "Oh she's always been beautiful".
