I’ve been gone since June. I’m back . . . again. I’ve been trying 8/16 IF for the past few weeks. I’m tolerating it fairly well. I’ve lost 6 lbs since I started. I’m still a lb above my June weight, but feel like I’m back on track. I’ve started physical therapy. It’s hard, but I need to get my mobility back to normal. I really do need FatSecret to stay on track. Even though I’m doing IF, I have to stay at the correct calorie intake to lose weight. If I eat healthy food without keeping track of calories, I don’t lose. It’s a bit disheartening.

Hi WFN. It started with our annual SCA camp-out at Smithville lake. From then on, my DIL’s older sister and my close friend had a horrible cancer slide. We lost her the third of Sept. It’s been a horrible year of loss of friend-after-friend, all much younger than I. I am just getting back to self care. It’s been rough. I’m happy you’re still here!

So sorry Johanne you have had such a rough summer. Cancer is so awful. I also lost some family early in the summer, one to cancer. Sending best wishes your way. Are you doing anything with the renfest this year? I have not been with the nutty weather and other things in my life. Next weekend is the last chance and I have college football at Arrowhead Stadium on Sat.

Jo, I'm glad to see you back too! I have checked periodically to see if you were active on FS again. I'm so sorry about your recent traumatic losses. That certainly makes it hard to keep a routine. 2018 was my year of going to funerals. It takes a toll on you. I have been doing better with self care in 2019 and it sounds like you're getting back to normal too. I'm like you -- I have to keep track of what I'm eating or I won't lose weight.
