Blowing the calorie ceiling and having trouble getting the carbs down to or below 26g. I have been told that first week of keto, this is expected. Next week I start counting those calories and working on getting more protein and fat. I hope that my math skills are up to the challenge 😄

Are you counting net carbs? You are good with the netcarb count! All about the experience and I think eating plenty of fat the first week or so is the right way to get into it. Once ketosis hits it will help you regulate your appetite.

New to Keto Diet and very overwhelmed. How do I count net carbs. I joined fatsecret today and have recorded my first meal. Breakfast. I came across with this thread so I don’t know what do you guys mean by counting net carbs. Guidance will be appreciated. Thanks

From what i understand is that you subtract your fiber grams from total carbohydrates to figure net carbs
