It's Monday,


and reports of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. I'm still out here. I've just been totally off kilter for a long time. I'm amazed that, without journaling my food, I only gained a pound over the holidays. Eating incorrectly has had a real hit on my health, however. I've certainly not been doing well in that department.

I've decided to do the "Virgin Diet" food elimination test for 21 days. I know I can't have gluten or onions. I don't think I have anything else I have to avoid, but it wouldn't hurt to check. I won't start until I've used up the rest of the eggs and cheese in the fridge, so I'm looking at sometime next week. The rest of the foods are already out of the house.

I came down with the flu last Monday, even though I had the flu shot in Sept. I almost feel as if I might live today. I'm still sleeping a lot and getting as many fluids down as I can handle. I'm going especially heavy on chicken broth and ginger lemon tea. I'm not terribly hungry, so I figure the broth is a good idea. The ginger lemon tea seems to be keeping my stomach calm.

I'm sorry I've been so absent for the last few months. I hope my buddies will forgive me. I'm back and tracking my food, as of today. I hope you are all well, or, in the case of flu, getting well. HUGS!!! and toodles.

I'm thankful for:

Waking up.
Feeling like I might just live after all.
The wonderful pot of chicken soup that is cooling as I write.

Glad your back but sorry your dealing with the flu. Although you want to get back on track be sure to get your fluids and take care of yourself while your sick. You did better over the holidays than I did. Hang in there and as you feel better get back on the wagon.

That flu! Thankfully I only had a mild case for a few days. It is great to hear you are around and kicking. Best wishes.
