The hard part is sticking to a plan. I've got a trip to take in a few weeks, so when I'm out of town it's going to be harder to keep to my routine of low-calorie meals. I've been able to hold my food cravings down a lot. Seven years ago I beat tobacco. Now I've got to beat fat.

The other thing to think of is this: Can I drop at least two stone by November (I'm thinking in stones as the concrete unit because they're large enough to be goals but small enough to be achievable in reasonable lengths of time)? Two stone by September would be better, of course. I'm going to shoot for that. And three, 3 1/2 by November. But if I'm crossing the 300 mark in November I'll still be okay. If I cross it it September, though, I'll be ecstatic.
