1st Journal entry, hope this works.
So happy to see everyone here. You all have such great will power and it s lovely you can all share.
I'm heading to a better BMI. Is any one else got their BMI in their sights?
I'm going towards 62 kg which will be 24.8 and them I.d like to go a few kilo under. My daughter has some lovely clothes here, and it seem a shame to throw them away. Doesn't want them any more. Can see my self on a cruise dressed up in a new outfit every 6 hours haha.
I think she was always a bit amused I could wear her clothes before I put on a few extra kilos. I was delivering junk mail 15kms x 3 or 4 times a week. That sure kept the wight of!
Trying to walk 10 km a day.. 2 x 5 km.Depending on Chris Isaak on the ipod.

BMI is no good for me.

BMI, as long as it means Buy Me Ice-cream I'm on board. Otherwise it's an ineffectual measure of health. It was designed for populations, not individuals. But it's easy for a doctor to work out, so that's why they use it.

http://www.scymed.com/en/smnxpn/pndfc237.htm I hope this link works, this is what they used to use. It does give a lower ideal weight than BMI.... Maybe that's why they changed it.

thanks for that..BMI seems so low..I was reading they invented it YEARS ago.. needs to change.

BMI was invented 200 years ago by a statistician. Nothing to do with health. 🙄

BMI !? I’ve always thought it irrelevant to myself really ! I’m just looking to get rid of excess Flab & feeling better for it ! So far even 3 ks & Already I do !

good luck. I started with the pacer app to log my steps. 10000 was the goal. now it averages 15 to 20 thousand. & FS to log my calories. its working. try
