Weight is steady at 181.2. Of course now I am obsessed with getting below 180!!! LOL!!! So impatient!! I have a potluck tomorrow ... drat!! Hopefully I can negotiate my way through it without overeating. We have plans to go out on Saturday so I am hoping to see below 180 by Saturday morning, knowing I'll fluctuate up again ... but hopefully I will remain on the overall downward trend. I knew after such a huge loss last week the scale would slow ... which is fine. I feel good and know I am eating well and that is much more important than what the scale says.

My mouth is sore today but considerably better than yesterday. No doubt it will be in tip top shape just before my next ordeal on August 23rd. The sad thing is I am paying big bucks for this pain!! LOL!!

My day doesn't look like it will be very hectic. Seems to come and go in waves ... sort of like my weight chart!! I'll enjoy the calm for now and ride the tide when the waves begin crashing on the shore.

And so ... let's see what I might be grateful for this day ...

1. feeling good despite a restless night of sleep (darn pain medication does it to me everytime!!)

2. the network is operational today at work ... funny how crippled I feel without internet and email.

3. dreaming about training conferences in Maui and Mexico ... oh wouldn't that be just wonderful???

4. reading an interesting book ...

5. the beauty that surrounds me!!

And so it goes ... one step at a time, practicing kindness, gratefulness, patience and each moment. It definitely takes practice!! LOL!! Have a great day!!

GO 180!!!! I'm cheering ya on!!!! YOU can do it! :) glad the mouth IS better.......I TOO believe dentist should PAY us for the pain they cause!!! US dish out money for THAT???? Ugh.....I hate it too!!! :( Have a super fabulous day!!!! I hope 180 knows your coming to get her!!!! :-)

Another pot-luck challenge eh? I know you will handle it with grace and please let us know what you do. The last one I attended I took a little of INFO's advice about choosing one thing, but I added choosing good portion sizes of 4 good things which included a huge portion of salad topped with homemade pico de gallo. Have fun with the challenge at any rate. I responded to you post on my 08/09/10 Journal....This has been a fun journey.

WHOA!!! I think you just may skip over 180 into the 170s with the drops you have pulled off in the past. The only prob I think w/ potlucks are the caseroles. You don't know how much carbs, fat, milk and cheese are in those. Try to reach for a chicken dish and throw that on a bed of lettuce. That usually works.

You'll get there...the 70's are very close!!! Nicely done Moose...I'll be getting back to the 40's soon after this vaca is over...!! I WILL not sabotage myself this week...I WILL be kind to me...It DOES take practice!! hugggies darlin' and have a great week...I'd share this lobster with you if you were closer...as it is, I'm tossing all the bodies and legs...claws, knuckles and tails suit us all fine!!!

yes ... except I am feeling particularly anxious this evening and I want to SNACK!!! I already ate TWO servings of chocolate cheerios ... LOL!!! No milk ... just the cereal. Dang coupon!!

wow moose I missed that loss while I was away- great job!!!! that is wonderful. try to remember that potluck is not that important- avoid avoid avoid- and ps, your profile pic is gorgeous- you look like a very happy woman:)

I "caved" to a normal day and will try again tomorrow. It's fantastic how quickly we can rise if we aren't ever vigilant. Try to hang in there.

That rising with just little indulgences just doesn't seem fair. I don't think I'll ever understand it! I thought 3500 calories equals a pound. Certainly doesn't seem that way for gaining.

Isn't it funny how we can drop 7 pounds in 10 days and all we think about it more more more?? Why is that? Hmmm....Glad you are feeling better and hope the next "go round" is less problematic. Maui and Mexico..oh boy! Can I hide in your suitcase??
