Weight fluctuation. I certainly didn't do anything to earn a drop. Actually, I've been a human garbage disposal, clearing out the holiday leftovers.
Tonight, Mr C wanted to cook another fun thing he ordered from D'Artagnan: pheasant. We've had cornish hens before, but not pheasant. It's a lot smaller than I imagined, which is a good thing.
The day has been gloomy because of a steady, sloppy rain. On top of that, Mr C had a phone call from his nephew about a lightning strike back at his mom's vacant property. The house was spared, but the storage shed filled with china, furniture and clothes burned to the ground. We'll need to make a trip over there this week. Pretty depressing.
