went to the doctors yesterday to have her tell me I have shin splints. I already figured as much but I was really hoping it wouldn't be the case. She was really suprised I only had them in the right leg and told me she barely had to touch the leg to feel the inflammation.
going in for x-rays Monday to determine whether or not it's actually a stress fracture. doctor was concerned because I've been experiencing this for over a year and despite icing, stopping running for two months it's still painful, in fact it's become constant pain 24/7. I went for a run the other other night and felt and heard something pop in my calve/shin... not pleasant even my friend heard it.
I'm on steroids for a week to help with inflammation and I have physical therapy... AGAIN. however I'm still cleared to run although she did recommend I bike instead.
my weights been bouncing back in forth and all around these past two weeks but I think it's mainly due to it being my time of month. though I'm trying to get down to my old weight of 120 lbs, I've decided to break it down into smaller milestones, my first one being 139 lbs. I keep getting close but I haven't broken 140 lbs in over a year.
I'm not stressing over it though, I've learned the hard way that it isn't something worth tearing your hair out over.
