Down 8 kg after 5-6 months.. but I don't feel anything changes when I look at the mirror.

Down ~12 kg in ~2 months and I can't see much difference in the mirror either. Fat is not all superficial.

The change is that you are healthier now! Also, if you took measurements in the first place there would 100% be significant changes.

Like binged said, you're definitely healthier and if you took before and after photos there should still be a definite difference.

I can completely relate. I remember losing the first 10 kg and not believing the scale. Thankfully I had a second one as a back up. Although you feel you look the same, surely your body is different and clothes fit differently too. If I started my journey today I would take pictures at my starting point and keep taking measurements. Surely you those 8kg measurements came down too! Keep being consistent no matter what.

Make photo or measure waist and hips, it is more reliable 😊

I still have that problem and I lost 32 k and still think I look fat. Then I put on my clothes and that's when I see the weight loss.

Remember this is for your health and how you feel NOT for what others think. It’s all about how you feel about yourself. Be proud and hold your head up high. Love yourself first

Yes, I did measure my body before. I have lost 5 cm off my thigh, 6 cm off my hips, and only 1 cm off my upper arm. I try my old jeans and it finally fits (even it's still tight). 🤣 Thank you all for your kind words. I appreciate it. 🤗

I've dropped almost 8 kilos in the last 8 weeks & I don't think I look any different either, but I can feel the difference, funnily enough, with some of my clothes already starting to look & feel loose. I bought a top 2 months ago that was a little snug, but just had to have it, even though my daughter tried to tell me it didn't fit nicely. But now it fits perfectly, I'm pleased to say, & I guess in another couple of weeks it will be a little loose. The sad thing for me, is that I've never felt "fat" or thought I looked "fat", till I was told quite frankly by an orthopaedic surgeon, 9 weeks ago, that not only was I fat, but quite obese at 115kg & only 160cm tall, so I love this guy for having the guts to just say it to me, & I owe it to him that I've changed how I eat, not so much what I eat. "He just said to me, you don't need to diet, you simply need to reduce your calorie intake, & maybe go easy on the sweets" which really resonated with me, because I did love my sweets. My other problem was portion control, which is embarrassing as an ex-chef, plus I also managed my mums health for 32 years, before she passed away in 2015. Due to a heart condition, she developed diabetes, so I was really good at managing her diet, with that, but couldn't manage my own. So, I decided to put that experience to good use for my own health now, so I sat down with hubby, & hatched a plan for us to get healthier, not just thinner. So now I'm really careful about how much I put on my plate, & eat smaller portions, more regularly. I've cut way down on all the naughty stuff, & increased all the good stuff. The ironic thing about the good stuff, is that it's food that I've always loved anyway, like fruit, & nuts, (I love nuts), but I preferred to snack on lollies & cake before; but I'm pleased to say, that I haven't had a piece of cake in almost 8 weeks now, which is really something for me. And don't even get me started on vegies, the only veg I don't like is peas, but being Greek, I grew up on veg. When I first met hubby, who's anglo, he thought I was odd because I love brussels sprouts...well now HE loves my brussels sprouts too...LOL! Like I've been saying to my daughters, & my Aunt, I don't care what I look like at the end, I only care about taking the stress off my knees & ankles, so I don't have to endure another painful, inconvenient, uncomfortable knee operation, & more importantly than that, I want to be around to see my 2 year old grandson grow into a good adult. So be patient, but most importantly, be kind to yourself; because as the old adage goes, all good things take time, & this is the best thing you can do for yourself, so it's definitely worth taking the time to do it right.
