Day 5 and 6: Yesterday (saturday) was the diet disaster day. Dinner at a very posh restaurant. 7 stars. Eau de Vie in Intercontinental Hotel (Beirut) overlooking the Mediterranean sea. It was worth EVERY calorie (about 5,000 for dinner only). I indulged on the Lebanese wine because it was a wine tasting night and the food tailored to the wine. An excellent culinary experience blending the European and Lebanese foods in an sumptuous flavor. Definitely worth every calorie. No guilt.
Day 6: This morning, I had to pay the piper. Walked for 2.5 hours about 8Km (A first for me) and burned half of the calories from last night. Walked from my hometown to the neighboring towns in the woods and on dirt roads. Excellent scenery! Kind of mountain hiking if you want. Should do this every week end especially because the group I walked with is really excited to repeat the experience. My legs and hips are SORE. That is the price I have to pay for the calories ( And I would do BOTH the food and the hiking experience again, except maybe a Little less wine and one less chocolate mousse). Today is Sunday and lunch is in an hour. I should watch my calories or else I earn a kick in the butt from you know who (THE ADMINISTRATOR).
Sorry for not checking on my buddies the last couple of days. I will definetely check on them shortly.
