It's 7:35am. Already took a short walk with my dog, fed the cats and birds, and I'm ready to spend the day in my home office. It's another cool morning. Love it.

Got a lot done at mom's yesterday. Worked with the contractor to make sure mom's shower plumbing fixtures will be placed on the correct side for her stronger right hand and to give her enough room to maneuver around. He's being very meticulous and I'm so glad we hired him. I also cleaned out and reorganized her pantry so that everything she needs is within reach now. Threw out any cans that expired 7-10 yrs ago. She insisted on keeping anything less than 6 yrs expired. I knew how to handle her from watching Hoarders. Involve them in decisions and praise them for letting things go. Having grown up overseas in the midst of WW2, she has a hard time throwing anything away.

She made a delicious chuck roast with potatoes and carrots yesterday, so we had that for lunch and she gave me the rest to take home. I didn't mean to have it for supper too, but it was so good.
