This is the first time in years that I feel pretty good about my appearance. I've avoided social interaction because of lack of confidence about the way I look. Even when I would put on makeup, get a haircut and wear nice clothes before, I still didn't feel good about what I saw in the mirror. I shrugged it off by saying it's vanity, get over it. It is vanity, and I have to own up to it. And I can't help feeling pleased when my friends tell me that I look pretty. I haven't heard that from anyone in ages and I've heard it twice this week. It feels great, but also a little embarrassing.
Well, we went out to a tapas dinner at our local Greek restaurant. It was nice eating outside and the food was delish. We sampled chorizo and dolmades, the grape leaves stuffed with lamb & rice. Also some eggplant and lamb meatballs. We ended up with a ton of leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. We ate only what would fit on a small appetizer plate and we were still very full. Even though it was really good, I sorta wish we'd stayed home to eat. I can't believe I feel that way now because I used to prefer eating out.
