Still working at healing from the flu! I learned a few home remedies yesterday while watching utube: I have used essential oils and teas, oranges and frozen Pineapple and cherries. Along with warm salt water gargling for my sore throat. Also Epsom salt baths when I feel strong enough for the tub.

Mom used chicken soup, and tomato soup, saltine crackers, and Sprite soda and Vick's and cough syrup when we were sick and lots of sleep.

Now, that I am WFPB eater emphasis on starches I wanted to see if there were any other home remedies I might do well with.

Oregano tea is wonderful and this fresh tomato soup/tea I made this morning as well. This is from a utube video: What I eat on a Sick Day/ healthy vegan recipes.

What home remedies do all of you use for cols/ flus?

I hope you feel better soon. I like pho because of the bone broth and lime and cilantro. Hubby will make me tomato soup. Water.

Feel better! My Mexican family swear by Jalapeños to cure any ailment lol. Dad I don’t feel well. “Here Mija eat some jalapeños.” Every time. But it worked 90% of the time. Lol. Go figure. I hope you feel better soon!

I like the pho broth also, but any broth will do for me. My mom also lathered us with Raleighs salve. Cured anything -). Hope you are feeling better.

Fresh homebrew ginger tea, strong as you can take it, plus a super hot bath, hot as you can take it. Or better still, a sauna. Homemade chicken soup.

Cdubb517, jalapenos! Yikers! I know heat can be beneficial I am a true weakling when it comes to spicy! Tatauu22, haven't heard of Raleighs salve. Jimmiepop, I may try the ginger tea again ginger is spicy for me. I wish I had a sauna! Thank you for all your well wishes!
