Splurged a little yesterday. Guess I can count it as a spike day since I've stayed low the rest of the week. Staying low today so hopefully my metabolism will spike too, and I'll see a difference in the morning.
Didn't sleep much last night. Little man had a sleep test at the sleep lab to test for suspected obstructive sleep apnea. Well, he might have slept, but I sure didn't. The technician told me this morning that he has several sleep disturbances. #1 He apparently has night terrors. He woke at least 7 times last night screaming. Well, the technician said he was actually still asleep during each screaming episode. So, that's not good. #2 He does have sleep apnea. He stopped breathing several times during the night. The technician said to expect the removal of his tonsils and adenoids (Family dr already said adenoids were enormous). Also, I should expect them to order another sleep test after his surgery to be sure the apnea is corrected afterwards. The tech didn't mention any other disturbances. He said the sleep dr would give me the details.
Anyway, we took the boys to the "bouncy house" to let them play and wear them out so Little Man would fall asleep easily at the lab. Then we treated them to the Chinese buffet to make the evening special. I was good. I only got one plate and a bowl of soup, but since I had already splurged on pie at lunch, the extra calories were not helpful. But I didn't see a gain this morning so that's good too.
Have ate very little today. I guess my appetite disappeared in light of my extreme fatigue. Really hope I get to bed early tonight. I missed the gym last night and this morning since I was with Little Man. Really want to make it in the morning!
