Drove north 2.5 hrs to the apple orchard and picked up unpasteurized cider and bags of fresh Jonagold, King Lusk, and Winesap apples. The King Lusks are the best tasting of those 3. It was a beautiful day in the 60s. The trees have been stressed by drought, so there wasn't much color; the leaves are going straight to brown. We stopped to eat at Top of the River in Guntersville and it was not good. I don't understand how it has been so popular all these years. The catfish had a skunky taste to it. The "gulf" shrimp looked like cafeteria shrimp shapies. Reminded me of some of the worst Gulf Shores restaurants from the 80s. Got home by 3:30 and had a protein bar for supper.

After this greasy weekend, we're committed to getting back on track with our low-calorie meals today.

We've had some kind of leak in our basement wall and discovered mold growing around the baseboard. Our contractor is coming by this morning to see what's going on.
