I got to see almost all my family yesterday except for my daughter and one niece and her husband and kids. It was really nice, but I really wish my daughter had been here. My sister and her 3 girls met mom and me at one of our fave sushi restaurants and had a wonderful time. She has the 3 sweetest girls in the world, and they gave me funny card with personal messages written by each of them, plus a bouquet of flowers.

My brother and his girls and their husbands visited mom, so I joined them later that day. It was great to see them too because we haven't been able to get together due to assorted personal problems (deaths, illness, injury over the last 6 months).

I'm concerned about mom because her arthritis has gotten intolerably bad - knees, hands, and especially shoulders. Taking her to the ortho doc Tuesday.

Ate too much on Mother's Day, but I'll rein it in today. Again managed to avoid the candy jar at mom's yesterday. That's really a major achievement.
